Transport

MCVA Transport provides service to the frail and aged, young people with disabilities and carers who are unable to access usual forms of transport to attend shopping centres and social events.

Twice a month we also offer a Mystery Tour for all our clients. Destinations so far include Cape Hillsborough, Northern Beaches, Eungella and The Pioneer Valley. It is recommended that you book early as the day trips are proving very popular.

Our people mover is fitted with a wheelchair lift to allow clients with mobility limitations access to the service.

Provide transportation to HACC eligible clients and others who are no longer able to use ordinary forms of transport to asst in alleviating social isolation due to limited transport options by providing a door-to- door service for social outings.

Who can access MCVA Transport?

HACC eligible clients can access MCVA Transport, or any individual if they are unable to utilise any other method of transport due to illness, age, frailty, access or disability.

MCVA Transport is only suitable for individuals who require support to and from their destinations, but can manage independently and without personal risk when at their destination.

How do I access the MCVA Transport Service?

All intending clients need to register with the office prior to their initial trip. Once the registration process has been conducted, all paperwork completed, and registration confirmed, a schedule of travel will be sent out to you. All bookings can be done simply by contacting the office.

What hours does the service operate?

MCVA Transport operates Monday to Friday from 8am to 4pm.

Will the driver assist me with my packages?

Yes, the driver is able to assist with carrying two bags of shopping to your front door.

Is there a cost to access the service?

Client contributions are payable by all people travelling with MCVA Transport, this includes clients and carers. All clients are requested to have the correct change for the first leg of their trip.
